Water Damage Tips - What Do I Do After Finding Water?
Water damage can be unexpected and bring shock when noticed. SERVPRO of Punta Gorda has a few key tips on what to do when water damage is spotted in your Punta Gorda home or business. At the first sign of water damage, it's important to attempt to find the source of loss. If the source of loss is coming from a broken or leaking pipe, it's important to shut off the main water line immediately.
If the source of loss is a roof leak or from storm damage, SERVPRO can provide a temporary securement by boarding up or securing a tarp on the roof over the affected area. Another tip to avoid the severity of damage from increasing is to call our team right away. By getting mitigation and restoration processes in the works, you can help limit the possibility of secondary damage and mold.
